Tired of spending money on those expensive fabric softener sheets? Are you pouring away dollars when you use liquid fabric softener? Learn how to get a bottle of fabric softener to last almost a year.

Difficulty: Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • 36 oz bottle of fabric softener
  • clean spray bottle
  • several clean wash cloths
  1. Step 1

Either buy a spray bottle or clean out one that you may have lying around the house. Measure half a cup of cold water and pour it into the clean spray bottle.

  2. Step 2

Measure half a cup of your favorite liquid fabric softener. Pour it into the spray bottle that contains half a cup of water. Shake the spray bottle to mix up the fabric softener and water.

  3. Step 3

Load up your dryer and just before turning it on, shake the spray bottle to make sure the liquid fabric softener and water are mixed. Take a clean wash cloth and from about 4-6 inches away, spray it with the softener mixture about 5-6 times. Toss the wash cloth into the dryer with your laundry and turn on the dryer.

  4. Step 4

After the clothes are dry, find the cloth that was used and you can now use it to remove static from electronic devices such as televisions, computer monitors or anything else the builds up static electricity. After you are done, toss the softener wash cloth in the washer with your other towels and wash clothes to remove any build-up.

Tips & Warnings
  • Keep several wash cloths handy as you are doing the laundry.
  • To further prevent static cling, don't over-dry your laundry.
  • Periodically rinse the spray nozzle to remove build up.
