Things You'll Need:
- Humble spirit
- Thoughtful heart
- Kind spirit
- Grateful heart
-
Step 1
It is of the utmost importance that we have an humble enough spirit to realize that we are blessed. It is not possible to give thanks if you can't see any reason for it. Therefore, we must have a grateful heart.
-
Step 2
Don't minimize your blessings because it is not EXACTLY what you want. Spend some time visiting the hospitals, health care facilities, prisons, and even the homes of those who are sick and/or incapacitated. Seeing people who are challenged in this way, will push a thanks out of us for good health.
-
Step 3
Always remember that our blessings come from God. Don't forget to acknowledge Him in everything. We have no control over our own lives. Each day is a special blessing. When our number comes up and it is time for us to go, no one on earth can extend our lives. So be thankful for every day that we are alive.
-
Step 4
Be appreciative of the little things. Sometimes we may overlook the "little things." But, there comes a time when the little things will become the "big things." Remember, in all things to give thanks!
-
Step 5
Show appreciation and gratitude by sharing what we have with others who are so less fortunate. We must have genuine concern and love for people. Remember action speaks louder than words.
-
Step 6
Happy Thanksgiving to All!!
