Weight Watchers is a very popular method of losing weight. But what if you can't make the meetings? Here are step by step directions on how to lose weight with Weight Watchers at home.

  1. Step 1

    The first step is to get the Weight Watchers program. You will need the program basics and a points calculator. You can get these by attending a Weight Watchers meeting. Or you can buy the complete Weight Watchers At Home Program kit from the Weight Watchers site. The kit has many extras to help you lose weight with Weight Watchers at Home.

  2. Step 2

    Using the program materials, calculate how many points you can eat in one day. Each day you will have a number of points which is a ratio of fat, fiber and calories to eat. If you stick within the points you should lose weight.

  3. Step 3

    Use your points calculator to figure out how many points are in the foods you eat. If you have the Weight Watchers kit, it comes with small booklets that lists points in common foods. Each day keep track of your points in a notebook or the Weight Watchers Journal (available at centers). Tracking your points is the way to lose weight with Weight Watchers at home.

  4. Step 4

    Make the program easier by using Weight Watchers cookbooks that have already calculated the points in recipes. Use a marker to write down the number of points in items you eat on the bag or box, so you don't have to recalulate each time you eat it or relie on your memory.

  5. Step 5
