Cricket is a sport that many people in North America are unfamiliar with. While you may never play an outdoor version of the game, there are several online cricket games that you can enjoy. Card Cricket is one online cricket simulation. Instead of playing as a computerized batter, however, you use cards to play the game. These cards determine "runs" and "outs" until all "overs" in the game have been completed. Here is how to play Card Cricket.

Difficulty: Easy
Instructions
  1. Step 1

Log onto the official Card Cricket website.

  2. Step 2

Click the "How to Play" tab on the left side of the screen to learn the rules for the game. On the "How to Play" page, click the "Here" link to watch a video simulation. This will help you to become familiar with the cards used for Card Cricket.

  3. Step 3

Select the "Play" tab on the left side of the screen and your game will begin to load. For you game stats to be saved, you will have to make an account on the Card Cricket website. Doing so is free. If you simply want to play a practice or exhibition match, click the "Play Now" tab once the main screen has loaded.

  4. Step 4

Choose which country you want to play as. You can choose from eight different nations.

  5. Step 5

Select either heads or tails for the coin toss. This will determine if you bowl or bat first. For this article, we'll assume that you're bowling first.

  6. Step 6

Choose a bowler from the list of players on the right side of the game screen. Once you do, the card the batter played will appear on your screen. Select a card to "pitch" to the batter. After the pitch, you will select a bowler again. This will continue until all overs have been played. Then it will be your turn to bat.

  7. Step 7

Select a card for your batter. Once you do, the computer player will select a pitch card. Again, this will continue until all overs have been completed.

Tips & Warnings
  • Use the "Rules and Tips" found below the game screen while batting and pitching. These are very helpful for particular moments of the game.
  • Don't try to play Card Cricket with a standard deck of cards. There aren't enough cards in the deck for the game to work. Don't use Card Cricket as an introduction to the game of Cricket. This game will be far too confusing if you've never watched a Cricket match or don't know the basic rules of the game.
