Mounting a Baby Changing Station
A baby changing station is a wall mounted table that makes it convenient to change a baby's diaper. They are most often found in public restrooms in malls or restaurants. They fold open and are stabilized from the mount on the wall. They can typically hold up to 50 pounds. The changing station offers a quick and easy way for a parent to change her child's diaper without having to leave the mall or restaurant.

How to mount a baby changing station
-
1
Determine how high you want to mount the changing station. Consider the height of those that will be using it. You want it convenient for most people. Estimate between 4 to 4.5 feet from the floor. You do not want to mount the station too low for the parent to hurt his back and definitely not so high that it could be difficult to reach.

2
Make a mark on the wall at the height the mount will be. You will want to screw the changing station into a stud of the wall for sturdiness and to be sure the changer can be held. Therefore, make sure to make marks for the holes into studs for each side.

3
Drill a hole where the mark was made for the upper left side first. Then level off and proceed with the upper right hole. Screw in the upper side of the mount into the wall where holes were made.

4
Drill in the screws for the bottom of the mount. Make sure the changing station is level once again by using a level across the bottom.
-
5
Check the strength. Before putting a child on the changing station, use a light item such as a book. Then continue to add books until it reaches up to 50 pounds.
