While these are not Broadway shows, they are still fun and entertaining. We pay anywhere from nothing to five dollars per person to see a play.

AMC TheatersENJOY A MOVIE -- Find out if there is an AMC movie theater in your area. They offer $5 shows on Saturday and Sunday mornings before noon. These are new movies that all theaters are charging $9 or more per ticket to see.

Older TheaterSEE AN OLDER OR INDEPENDENT MOVIE -- Find out there are theaters in your area that offer second run movies at a discount rate. These range from independent movie theaters to larger franchises like Starplex Cinemas, which offers movies from $1 up to $7 depending on where your location.

MuseumVISIT A MUSEUM -- Many museums have free days or evenings on a regular basis. Enjoy each other while browsing through the exhibits at a leisurely pace. Perhaps some coffee or dessert would be a great way to wrap up the evening.

DessertHAVE DESSERT -- Have dinner at home and then go out for dessert. Whether you visit a specialty store or restaurant, it is a fun time out without the cost of a full dinner.

on 12/26/2008 cute and simple :) though, i only thinks this works if the couple truly enjoys each others company, where as you have some couples, where one persons happiness is dependent on just how much the other spends :(
