Going to the store too much of a bore? Poke through your pantry and make your own homemade Coca-Cola!

Difficulty: Moderately Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • Empty 2 liter bottles
  • Sugar
  • Glass gallon jug
  • Yeast
  • Measuring Spoons
  • Cola Soda Flavoring
  1. Step 1

Dissolve yeast (1/8 teaspoon) in 1 cup of warm water for about five minutes. Make sure to let the yeast completely dissolve. The water temperature should be lukewarm to the touch.

  2. Step 2

Mix 2 & ¼ cups of white sugar, 1 & ½ tablespoons of flavoring, the dissolved yeast together in the glass jug. Fill with cool water and put the cap on the glass jug.

  3. Step 3

Shake contents for two minutes until sugar is completely dissolved. Pour contents into 2 two liter bottles (you have enough for about two) and screw cap on. Wait for around five days.

  4. Step 4

The soda can be kept in the fridge if you like. If you need to, let some pressure off by unscrewing the caps towards the end of the carbonation period. After that, pour and enjoy!

Tips & Warnings
  • People who have yeast allergies should not drink or try to make this soda.
