Trash can punch is not a high-end cocktail. And, yes, it really is served in a trash can. But this wacky, unique drink is fun to make and consume. Trash can punch has an alcohol and fruit punch base with pieces of fruit. Within approximately an hour of preparation, the fruit becomes infused with alcohol and can be enjoyed along with the drink. - Trash can
- Long-handled spoon
- Cups
- Knife
- 2 26.5-oz. bottles Everclear
- 2 26.5-oz. bottles 100-proof vodka
- 12 cans Hawaiian Fruit Punch
- Strawberries to taste
- Grapes to taste
- One watermelon
- 12 oranges
- Toothpicks
- 1 7-pound bag of ice

To save money and ensure freshness, buy local, in-season fruit for your trash can punch. Wash a new trash can with hot water and dishwashing detergent. Allow the can to air dry prior to adding the punch ingredients.

To create variety, select fruits with different colors and textures. Mix the Everclear, vodka and Hawaiian fruit punch in the trash can with a long-handled spoon.

Wash the fruits in cool water and slice them. Add the fruits to the alcohol and Hawaiian fruit punch mixture in the trash can and stir well.
