Things You'll Need:
- Choosing a name
- Business Plan
- Licenses
-
Step 1
When deciding on a name for your new company, make the choice a team effort. In other words, make it fun. Divide the team into several groups. Each group will have the assignment of coming up with a name and why their choice would be the more suitable one.
This team exercise will broaden your thinking and will be a valuable asset in deciding on a name. Ultimately, the choice will be yours, but take careful consideration to your team's ideas. If your team is composed of a variety of people, they will represent the masses. -
Step 2
When starting any business, you always need a plan. It is good to have someone in the administrative field on your team. Assign the administrative or computer literate person to be the head of that group. Or again, divide the team into groups with a team-leader and have them research information on business plans.
Most community colleges will have free seminars on small business start-up or business planning classes. See the website below for additional information. -
Step 3
Different states require different licenses. Again, make it fun and challenging for the team. Divide the team into groups again and have them find the needed information. For instance, have group 1 find local requirements and group 2 state requirements.
Be sure to assign a team-leader per group. The team-leader will also be the one to present or assign someone to present information at each team meeting.
Encourage each team member to take an active part in developing your new company. If you have chosen introverts to be a part of your team, help them to be a valuable participant by assigning them roles that will make them comfortable but will stretch them to show their true potential.
