Additionally trying to drive a consistent 55 mph can save you significant money. Each 5 mph that you drive over 60 mph can cost you an additional 5% in gas. Try to anticipate slow downs so you can gradually coast.

Cancel: Cancel anything that you do not need such as newspaper and magazine delivery. They typically will credit the canceled issues toward the cost of future delivered issues.
