Wachovia will pay you a $25 bonus when you open a free checking account through a referral from a customer. This account can be opened online or at your local branch. In this tutorial I will be explaining how to receive the bonus from your local branch. You would need to contact me for a referral email to be able to open the account online.

Step 1

Visit the Wachovia coupon page listed in the resources and print out the Wachovia $25 referral bonus coupon. The coupon should already be filled out with my name and address as the person who referred you.
Step 2

Take the printed coupon to your local Wachovia Bank branch and open a free checking account. Wachovia has branches in Alabama, Arizona, California,Colorado,Connecticut,Delaware,Florida,Georgia,Kansas,Maryland,Mississippi, Nevada,New Jersey,New York,North Carolina,Pennsylvania,South Carolina,Tennessee,Texas,and Virginia.
Step 3

After you have opened the free checking account both you and the person who referred you will receive a $25 Wachovia Visa gift card in the mail.

Tips & Warnings

After you open an account you can receive $25 for making referrals also.
Consider opening a Way2Save account as well. It pays 5% APY and you receive a 5% first year bonus.
Make sure you're aware of any possible fees that are associated with the accounts you open.
