Make Orange Cranberry Sauce (The Best Cranberry Sauce!!)

This Cranberry Sauce is so good that you will not be able to go back to the canned variety . . . and it's so easy to make! Perfect for Thanksgiving or Christmas Dinner, or any time of the year. This sauce is great with baked or roasted poultry. you can also use it on sandwiches or in other recipes that call for cranberry sauce.

Difficulty: Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • 3/4 cup maple syrup
  • 3/4 cup orange juice
  • 12-oz. package fresh cranberries
  1. Step 1

Pour 12-oz. package of cranberries into a colander. Sort through the cranberries to remove any unsatisfactory cranberries, stems, or any foreign objects.

  2. Step 2

Rinse cranberries under cold water. Drain.

  3. Step 3

Combine 1 cup of orange juice, cranberries and 1 cup of maple syrup in a saucepan. Bring mixture to a boil.

  4. Step 4

Reduce heat, and simmer sauce for about 10 minutes.

  5. Step 5

Cover saucepan, and cool completely at room temperature.

  6. Step 6

Refrigerate until you are ready to serve time. Serve cranberry sauce chilled, or heat the sauce in the microwave for a short time until the sauce is slightly warm, whichever you prefer. Makes about 2-1/4 cups.
