Part 3 of this series will teach you the importance and functionality of having a team.

Difficulty: Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • Choosing your team
  • Your first meeting
  • Delegating responsibility
  1. Step 1

Establishing a dream team will be one of your most important steps. Your team will become an extension of you, mirroring and enhancing your ideas.

Your team should be people that are committed to seeing you through from beginning until your opening day. Ultimately, these people may even become part of your advisory board.

  2. Step 2

The first meeting should be where personalities and abilities are established. This can be done using a standard personality test.

The more information and insight you have into your team, the better off you will be with delegation.

  3. Step 3

As your meetings progress, start to delegate responsibilities to each team member. For instance, if you know you have a team member that is media savvy, target that member to head up your marketing department.

Do the same for each member based on their abilities or expertise. Remember to choose people that care about you and what you are trying to accomplish. Doing this will ensure greater success.

Tips & Warnings
  • Remember if you need advice, start with your team.
  • Have each team member sign a confidentiality statement
