How to Make Honey Hair Glistener

Is your hair looking a little dull or brittle? Just add some shine by making an all natural honey hair glistener mask. It is easy to make and will leave your hair noticeably shiny, plus it smells absolutely fantastic!

Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • 2 Tbsp. honey
  • Dime sized piece of beeswax
  • 1 tsp. oil of almonds
  • 6 to 8 drops of lavender oil
  • Small jar
  • Cooking pot
  • Oven
  1. Step 1

    In a cooking pot pour two tablespoons of honey and the beeswax and begin to melt.

  2. Step 2

    Slowly mix in one teaspoon of oil of almonds.

  3. Step 3

    Add sevreal (five to six) drops of lavender oil into the mixture.

  4. Step 4

    Stir the mixture and once it is fully melted remove from the heat. Let cool.

  5. Step 5

    While, the honey mixture is still warm to the touch apply it to your hair using your fingertips and palms (as if you were applying shampoo or conditioner).

  6. Step 6

    Continue to work it lightly through your hair from the roots to the ends. Leave honey glistener on for twenty minutes and rinse throughougly with cold water. Repeat weekly.

  7. Step 7

    Place the left over honey glistener into the small jar for later use.

Tips & Warnings
  • Use the honey glistener as a glaze... do not apply too much!
  • Use weekly to maintain shine.
  • Remember to always wash and rinse your hair in cold water (it is close to the natural pH level of your hair and will not cause dullness and fading).
  • Be careful not to let the honey mixture boil!
