Furnish the Baby's Nursery on a Budget

Furnishing the baby's nursery doesn't have to break the bank! Follow this step by step guide to finding all the treasures baby could ever need for a fraction of the cost.

Difficulty: Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • Patience
  • Your Wish List
  • Internet Connection
  1. Step 1

Make 2 separate columns on a piece of paper. Label one "New Items" and one "Used Items". Classify your wish list of items needed or desired for baby according to these two categories. Some items you will want to be defiantly brand new. Other items would be fine used.

  2. Step 2

Daily browse online classifieds in your area for the items under the "Used Items" column. Craigslist is a very popular site to find gently used baby items.

  3. Step 3

Be sure to register for gifts at popular stores such as Target, Walmart, and Babies R Us. Do this even if you are not having a baby shower. Many people want to know what you need and a registry is an easy way to share this information.

  4. Step 4

Make a habit of checking the clearance aisles at your favorite stores. I have purchased many car seats, high chairs, and other accessories for 75% off at Target. In fact, by purchasing several of these items and then reselling them on EBay, I got my baby items free and made money as well!

Tips & Warnings
  • In your hunt for discounted items, be sure to walk through all the back aisles. This is where most of the treasures can be found!
