Things You'll Need:
- Newspaper Circulars
- Car
- Credit Cards
- Cash
- Pen
- Paper
-
Step 1
DiscountsBegin mapping out a plan of attack on the Monday before Black Friday. Collect circulars and fliers that contain ads for discounted merchandise.
-
Step 2
Shopping ListDetermine your shopping needs and wants before you leave the house on Friday. Go through your fliers and circulars and make a list of what items you intend to buy. Certain items are likely to go faster than others. If you are intending on buying a video game system or a popular toy, make sure that you visit the store with the lowest price at the earliest time possible.
-
Step 3
Black FridayArrive early. Most of the really good sales begin extremely early on Friday morning. There will likely be lines before the doors even open. It would be discouraging to wake up at four in the morning, arrive at the store at five only to find a line so long that there is no possible way the item you want will still be in stock by the time you get in.
-
Step 4
StoresStick to your list. With all of the discounts and sales going on, it will be really hard to resist impulse buying, but you should take care of the items you have on your list. Unless you find a deal that is on something you really need and you are sure that you won’t see another offer as good, resist the temptation.
