Read through the sale papers, and bring a list of what items you are interested in. Stay organized by keeping all your coupons in a designated area in advance. Be sure to make a plan for which stores you want to go to, so that you can get in and out of the store quickly.

If you're shopping with family, you can split up to save time & to take advantage of promotions at different stores.

Find out when the stores you want to go to are opening, 5am, 6am, 7am....and be sure to get to the store extra early. If you arrive to the store an hour or two in advance, it might help you get ahead in line.

Assuming you have everything planned out, get to the check out line as soon as you can, as the lines will be long and you want to try to get to the next store on your list as soon as possible.

Certain sale promotions such as "early bird specials", might start very early, and only last a few hours.
