Step 1
As conveniant as they might be, avoid purchasing boxes and plastic gift bags ..... instead, get creative and save money at the same time. Using such things as CD jewel cases, pretty cookie tins will add a personal touch to your presents...Use your imagination.
-
Step 2
Instead of buying gift wrap, try wrapping gifts the old fashioned way....with the funnies from the newspaper, or pretty colored sections of newspapers and magazines.
-
Step 3
Get really creative....if you happen to purchase a large towel for that beach lover....use that to wrap their other gifts.
-
Step 4
Go green by using eco-friendly tape. If you can't find any in your local store, do a google search for "biodegradable tape" on the internet.
-
Step 5
Instead of buying ribbons & bows....take a look around your house for colored yarn, or use colorful hair bows & ribbons - this way it'll be part of the gift..and also serve as the wrapping.
-
Step 6
And always recycle.......

on 11/22/2008 Great ideas! I didn't know about the eco-friendly tape! Another great tradition in our family is using gift bags and reusing them year after year. Great gift bags can be brfown grocery bags you decorate.
