Ice cubes in cool shapes.
Ice cubes in cool shapes.

Amaze your friends with neat ice cubes! Great for parties or events.

Difficulty: Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • water
  • freezer
  • cookie cutters
  • medical gloves
  1. Step 1

Boil water before freezing to get a more clear ice cube! Place saran wrap on a freezer safe tray (I say freezer safe because some metals are not safe to freeze). Place cookie cutters on tray over saran wrap. Fill cookie cutters with water and freeze!

  2. Step 2

Fill a medical glove with water and tie it shut. Freeze. Cut glove away and place hand shaped ice cube in a punch bowl!

  3. Step 3

Fill a rounded shaped plastic cup half way with water. Freeze. Place candy spider on top of frozen cube, fill water to top of cup and freeze the rest of it. Run a little warm water over frozen cup shaped ice to remove from cup. Place in punch bowl, or larger cup.

  4. Step 4

Buy custom ice cube trays online, they are cheap and well worth the money! Also try using a drop of food coloring in your ice.

Tips & Warnings
  • Boil your water before freezing it to get crystal clear ice cubes!
  • Don't put non-edible objects in ice, someone could accidently eat them.

on 11/15/2008 Great idea. But I may ad-lib a little rather than use the spider, if you don't mind!
