2. Type your desired domain name into the search box on the website. Almost all websites where you can buy a domain name has this search box. At GoDaddy.com, this search box is on the homepage.

3. Review the results. If your domain name is not available, the website will usually provide a list of similar names that might work for you. If you do not like any of these choices, you can also try changing the ending of the website (.net, .com, .info, etc.). If these options do not work for you, consider a different direction.
