How to Use Broadway Discount Codes To Get Cheap Theater Tickets
When a Broadway performance has unsold tickets and the show's producers feel the performance might not sell out, tickets for that show are sometimes sold at a discounted rate to boost attendance. Free Broadway discount codes, which are available at various retailers, can sometimes land you tickets for up to 50 percent off the face value. Once you have a code or codes, you can redeem them online, over the phone or in person.

Visit one or more online sources that provide ticket discount codes, including Playbill (playbill.com), TheaterMania (theatermania.com) and BroadwayBoy (BroadwayBox.com). The latter offers a limited amount of codes, but registration isn't required. Registration is required at the other two sites.

2
Order online at ticketmaster.com, livenation.com or another broker. Enter discount code when prompted to secure lower price. Indicate whether you want the tickets mailed or left for pickup at the box office.

Call a Broadway show ticketing company such as Ticketmaster to buy tickets if you can't or choose not to buy tickets online. The discount code should have a specific phone number provided with the discount codes. Provide the discount code when prompted and the price reduction will be automatically subtracted from the final cost.

Go to the box office if you can't or don't want to use the online or phone methods of ticket ordering. The name and address of the box office should be listed on the printed discount code. Provide the box office cashier the discount code for cheaper tickets.

Tips & Warnings
Buying tickets at a box office will save you $9 in fees that brokers often charger per ticket.
Since discount code tickets are subject to various time and date limitations, make sure you're able to use the codes for the show you want to see at a time and date you're available to see them.
