Things You'll Need:
- Animal shampoo
- 2 washrags
- 2 towels
- Patience
- Small heater
- Bathtub or wash basin
- Cat treats
-
Step 1
Start out by filling up the bathtub/wash basin with WARM water because the cat will really NOT liking cold water nor like the hot water.
Also make sure your supplies are ready and nearby. -
Step 2
Slowly and calmly coax the cat to the area of the bath by treats (if necessary)
-
Step 3
Put the cat in the WARM water, and let him/her check it out and see if he or she will like it.
-
Step 4
Start bathing the cat GENTLY as for you do not want the cat to get scared. If the cat did not like the water in the first place, you will need to hold the front arms still in order not to get scratched. Also if the cat is scared, well, that is what the second washrag is for, to put over your hand that is holding the front arms.
-
Step 5
Rinse the cat. Put cat in towels and go and sit in front of the heater.
Unwrap the towels and give the cat a treat. Let the cat dry him/her self off. The heater is just there to help with the drying process.
Give another treat.
And you have a clean cat...
