Step 1
Check with the dealer who sold you the ATV. Some dealers are willing to order high-performance engine parts, and some are not. It depends on their relationship with the manufacturer. In most cases, the company who manufactured the ATV is not the same company that made the aftermarket parts. Even those who will not sell high-performance engine parts will usually sell kits for body modifications, which will give your ATV a stylish new look that the floor models do not have.
-
Step 2
Visit motorsports stores. These companies cater to accessories for those involved in various forms of motorsports, including riding ATVs. While these stores usually focus on selling leathers, helmets and other common accessories, they have the ability to order other items as well. Whether you're looking to boost engine performance or make your ATV look sharp, most bike shops can get you the parts that you need.
-
Step 3
Consider ordering your aftermarket items online. Many reputable websites specialize in aftermarket engine parts and body kits for ATVs. ATVParts.com and OnlyATV.com (see Additional Resources below) are two excellent websites to purchase your aftermarket items. You can find other online vendors to buy any type of part in which you are interested.
-
Step 4
Post an advertisement in the local newspaper. Most newspaper classified ads have a section where you can post ads for items that you want to buy. List the type of ATV you have and mention that you are interested in buying aftermarket products, and let those with parts available contact you.
