Step 1
Find your article keywords. Identify the keywords that the search engine spiders will use to find your articles first. For each SEO article, write down 5 keyword phrases that you will use repeatedly throughout the article. Use these keywords to write your article title. If possible let your keyword or keyword phrase be the first word of the article title. Use your thesaurus to find common synonyms for the keywords to satisfy Google's use of Latent Semantic Indexing, or LSI.
-
Step 2
Research all your article topics upfront. If you are writing 10 SEO articles this week, do all of your information gathering on the same day. Open up your favorite Web browser and type in your article topic and keywords. Use the queried results to search the Internet for the best research to write your SEO article. Researching should be done on a separate day than writing. Give your subconscious mind time to formulate great headline titles and content for your SEO articles.
-
Step 3
Cut and paste the information gathered into a text editor or a word processing document. Use this information for any background information required to write your articles. Make sure you capture the URL and import it into the document to provide proper attribution for the author or the website when you write the article. Do not begin writing at this point.
-
Step 4
Use a data dump to write fast. After you've spent time thoroughly researching your subjects in batches of 10 articles, use this writing secret to your first SEO article fast. A data dump is a writing approach where you type as fast as you can, without editing or thinking about the words written. Let yourself type for a maximum of 5 minutes if you are writing a 400-word article. Increase your data dump sessions for longer word counts. Just let your mind flow freely as you type the words on the page. Repeat the data dump step for each SEO article.
-
Step 5
Insert keywords into your editing phase. The proper polish needed to create a masterpiece of an article is done in the editing phase. To write effectively and efficiently, more time should be spent in editing than writing. If you schedule 30 minutes to write a 500-word article, spend 5 to 10 minutes writing and 15 to 20 minutes editing. Insert keywords into the first few paragraphs to be discovered by the search engines quickly and ensure proper keyword density.
