Start a new tradition this Christmas! You leave Santa cookies...why not leave something for the reindeer? This is a fun project that will delight children of all ages. Add a little extra Christmas magic to your holidays with this cute tradition.

Difficulty: Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • Quaker Oats Oatmeal
  • Red and Green Glitter
  • Paper
  • Baggies
  • Curling Ribbon
  1. Step 1

    Put the Quaker Oats and the red and green glitter in a baggie.

  2. Step 2

    Print out or write the Reindeer Food saying on a piece of paper.

    "Sprinkle on the lawn at night,
    The moon will make it sparkle bright.
    Santa's reindeer fly and roam,
    This will guide them to your home!"

  3. Step 3

    Attach the paper to the baggie with curling ribbon or place in the baggie.

  4. Step 4

    Give to your children on Christmas Eve and explain what it is for.

  5. Step 5

    Let the magic begin! Have fun helping the children spread the mixture outside on Christmas Eve!

  6. Step 6

    For more Christmas magic, go outside before your children wake up the next day and make it look like the reindeer have eaten the food by spreading it out or covering it up!

Tips & Warnings
  • Have your children help to make the Reindeer Food for added fun!
  • This is not real Reindeer Food. Do not actually feed it to reindeer or other animals. Do not eat it.
