How to Make Hot Dog Onions

Did you ever go to a hot dog stand and get a hot dog with onions, well if you did you know all too well how delicious they are. And they are so simple to make and will taste just as good if not better with this recipe.

Things You'll Need

• 1 large onion sliced
• 1 cup tomato sauce
• 1/4 tsp red pepper flakes
• salt and pepper
• pinch garlic powder
• oil

Instructions

1. 

   Get a small pot and put it on your stove top over medium heat

2. 

   and coat the small pot with oil

3. 

   now to the small pot of oil add the sliced onions

4. 

   and break the onions up with a spoon so they will all get coated with the oil

5. 

   now add salt and pepper to taste to the onions and oil pot

6. 

   and mix in the red pepper flakes to the oil and onions

7. 

   and add a pinch of garlic powder to the onions in the pot and mix that all together well

8. 

   now add the tomato sauce to the pot of onions and stir to incorporate all of the ingredients

9. 

   let the pot of sauce with the onions cook on medium to low heat stirring occasionally so the sauce does not stick to the pot

10. 

    this will all cook together for fifteen to twenty minutes till the onions are very soft

11. 

    then over a small strainer add the sauce with the onions so the sauce and the onions separate you will still have sauce with the onions but not too much then enjoy the onions on a hot dog or whatever you like
