Try this concoction if you like a bit more variety in you trail mix.

Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • 1 cup popped popcorn
  • 1/2 cup pretzel sticks
  • 1/2 cup roasted peanuts
  • 1/2 cup walnut halves
  • 1/2 cup raisins
  • 1/2 cup dried apricots
  • 1/4 cup sunflower seeds
  • 1/2 cup beef jerky
  • 1/2 tsp cayenne pepper
  • 1/2 tsp cumin powder
  • 1/2 tsp garlic powder
  • 1/2 tsp onion powder
  • 1/2 tsp oregano
  1. Step 1

    Get two bowls for this mix. One small for the spices and a larger bowl for the ingredients. Put one half tea spoon cayenne pepper, one half tea spoon cumin powder, one half tea spoon garlic powder, one half tea spoon onion powder, one half tea spoon oregano in the small bowl and mix it up well.

  2. Step 2

    Grab the largert bowl and put in one cup popped popcorn, one half cup pretzel sticks, one half cup roasted peanuts, one half cup of walnut halves, one half cup of raisins, one half cup of dried apricots, one quarter cup of sunflower seeds, and one half cup of beef jerky in a larger bowl and mix it up well also.

  3. Step 3

    Combine the two bowls in a large zip lock bag. Be sure the bag is closed tightly. Shake, shake, shake to coat your trail mix.

Tips & Warnings
  • This trail mix will turn out better if you chop the apricots and beef jerky into small pieces.
