1
Getting the Courage: The first step you must take before requesting the raise is to get the courage. A lot of times people are nervous and hesitant about approaching higher authorities at the workplace, set your mind to "operation self". This means keep positive thoughts about your talents and skills.

2
Approaching Higher Authorities: Look up whose in charge of pay raises and set your destination. On the way to talk to whoever is in charge, get your confidence up! Think about all the skills you excel at instead of the ones you have trouble with. Think of a honest reason that would make these authorities consider giving you an increase in pay.

3
Self Presentation: Come off assertive and straight forward. Mention over and over you're broad list of accomplishments and dedication. Show that you're a hard worker by example, mention all of the projects/tasks you've excelled at. Explain why you're finally approaching them about an increase in pay.
-
4
Patience: Have patience! usually after you ask for an increase, there will be an evaluation period. Don't rush the answer, just let management take their time with making the decision. This can be anywhere from a couple of days to a couple of month, however; be patient.
