Things You'll Need:
- Creativity
- Pen & Paper
-
Step 1
With a pen and paper, start by creating a list of people whom will be receiving gifts from you. Don't forget that it is a nice gesture to include any of the following: Mailmen/women, Newspaper deliverer, close neighbors, Delivery men/women, Doormen, Front gate staff, Hair stylist, Teachers, Principals, Boss, co-workers, Tutor, Trainer, Dog walker, Driver, Coach, Doctor, Dentist, or anyone who regularly provides a service for you.
-
Step 2
Now think about each person on your list and what they like. It is best to write down notes for each person. Stumped? Write down what you like about them
ie.,Mark always makes me laugh. So use some creativity and come up with ideas. Since Mark always makes me laugh, I want to make him laugh this year so I will give him a framed photo of something pertaining to an inside joke or maybe capture a really funny photo of him.
Really putting thought into each person will be cherished much more than any candle, socks, cufflinks, etc. -
Step 3
Now that you have made your list, checked it twice, and came up with some creative holiday gift solutions, it is time to put your plan into action and create, buy, or make your gifts.
-
Step 4
Here are some great holidays gift ideas that I have used or will use this year. Some of these are a great inexpensive solution to some of the service men and women above:
Homemade soaps & body scrubs & masks(for the spa lover)
Homemade lip balms and glosses (for the diva)
Creating a sports memorabilia shadowbox (for the major sports fan)
Put together a photo album (parents & grandparents love this)
Homemade hot chocolate mix dressed in a cute container
A tree (anyone going green)
Handmade paper
Handmade knitted socks or scarves
With a professional photographers help, create a cal ender for your spouse (include a few racy photos and you are sure to get and A+++)
