In fact, it's been shown that the number of traffic ticket issued increases during a recession. Educating yourself in advance is the easiest way to avoid a speed trap. Today, registries like SpeedTrapped.com can show you on a map where the latest speed traps and traffic stops are.

Instructions
  1. Step 1

    Use SpeedTrapped.com to find speed traps. Check online to find to the locations of speed traps and traffic stops in your area or along the route that you will drive.

  2. Step 2

    Add a SpeedTrapped.com gadget to your iGoogle home page. Use the gadget to stay on top of any changes or new speed traps in the areas that you care about.

  3. Step 3

    Add a SpeedTrapped.com app to your iPhone. Use your iPhone as a simple GPS device that shows you your location on a map and indicates any recent speed traps or traffic stops in your location.
