Step 1
Food and drinks.
I suggest that you have some traditional Christmas things but also normal party foods as well. For example, have egg nog, but also have other drinks to offer your guests as well. It is a good idea to have a variety of things, and plenty of it. -
Step 2
Decorations.
For a Christmas party you are going to want to seperate the way everything looks compared to a normal party. Decorate your house in red and green. Also bring out some of your Christmas decor. For example, plates, cups, etc. -
Step 3
Music.
While not every song has to be Christmas music, it's ok to throw a little bit into the mix. Don't overdo it though, you want it to be Christmas party but still a party as well. -
Step 4
Mistletoe.
Mistletoe is also another great thing to have at a Christmas party. It is usually fun to bump into someone under the mistletoe. -
Step 5
Secret Santa.
There are many fun activities you can do at a Christmas party. One of my favorites is secret santa. That is where a couple of weeks before the party everyone draws a name and goes shopping for the person they have picked.

on 11/20/2008 This is a great article! I was undecided whether to have one but it doesnt seem that it would be that bad if we plan accordingly. Great advice! 5*****

on 11/15/2008 I love that you mention simple things here and not about big gifts. Sometimes we forget what Christmas is all about what truly brings more joy. Enjoyed the post!
