Think outside the box. Scour papers, community and church bulletin boards for all the Christmas activities for you and your family. Go to tree lightnings, craft how-to's, and community events. Do things as a family to concentrate on family time, NOT just receiving gifts.

How to Have a Frugal ChristmasDo something for a charity or your church. Ring a bell for Salvation Army, Collect money for a Christmas Light Display that is donated to charity, collect canned goods and staples for Community Services league. Serve at a homeless soup kitchen. Get away from the TV and do something as a family.

How to have a Frugal ChristmasInstead of regular Christmas presents, set a limit, give white elephant gifts, draw names out of a hat, donate to charity, require everyone to make their Christmas gift or donate what you would have spent to a specific charity or adopt a family and provide them with a Christmas.
