How to Unclog a Sink Drain Naturally
Sinks get clogged up over time, as a result of regular everyday use. You do not need caustic chemicals to clean or unclog your kitchen and bathroom sinks. - Vinegar
- Baking soda
- Hot water
- Cup plunger

Bring a gallon of water to a boil. Slowly pour it down the drain. This may be all you need to do, if the blockage is the result of accumulated hair, soap and oils. If not, move on to the steps below.

Pour one cup of baking soda down the drain pipe. Immediately pour the hot vinegar down the drain. The interaction between the two chemicals will work to break up the clog.

Leave the sink alone for 15 to 20 minutes. Meanwhile, bring four quarts of water to a boil.

Pour two quarts of the boiling water down the drain after 15 minutes, to rinse away the chemicals and clog materials.

Place the cup plunger over the sink drain and plunge to better dislodge the clogging materials. Pour two more quarts of boiling water down the drainpipes. Repeat if necessary.

If you have plastic pipes, never use water hotter than 175 degrees farenheight to clean the drains
