How to Read Jungian Tarot Cards
A Jungian tarot deck reading is based in the Jungian psychology and philosophy of Carl Jung. Jung was a psychiatrist who believed in archetypes, or images and ideas found in the collective unconscious. There are questions that tarot readers should ask themselves before approaching the deck and giving a reading. Once the questions are answered the reading can begin. The picture on the tarot deck, the body language of the person getting the reading and your intuition and viewpoint analysis of the person and the cards will make the reading move smoothly.

1
Familiarize yourself with the Jungian tarot before doing a reading. This tarot deck is different from other tarot decks because it lacks words. There are no areas on the card that say "The Empress,""The Hanged Man" or "Star," This is because the Jungian tarot works on the reading of the cards' pictures only for interpretation.

2
Split the tarot deck. Divide it into the major arcana and the minor arcana and court cards. An easy way to do this is to find all of the cards with multiple symbols such as cups, swords, pentacles and wands. The suits will have a color coordinating background. The court cards are the royal family cards. There will be four of these for each suit --king, queen, prince and princess, or knight and page for the latter depending upon the tarot deck being used.

After you have divided the cards, place them together again and shuffle. Holding each card will allow you to interpret it from your own viewpoint.
-
4
Have the person for whom the reading will be done shuffle the deck and hand it back to you. Use a spread you are familiar with such as three card, single card or tree format. Single and three card are the easiest; however they may not answer specific questions. Lay out the cards for the reading.
-
5
Approach the facing tarot cards with these four questions: "Does this look logical?", "Does this feel right?", "Is there something here that benefits?" and "Can I get the answers?" Answer these questions yourself before giving the reading. If everything seems to have a flow explain what your sense and intuitiveness tell you to the subject of the reading.

Tips & Warnings
Body language tells a lot about people, so learning a little about your subject's can help you give better readings.
Be honest, if the message is unclear state that.
