How to Win the Fort Condor Mini-Game in Final Fantasy 7
There are several mini-games in the PlayStation role-playing game Final Fantasy 7 that you can play if you need a break from the main storyline. When your party reaches the area called Fort Condor, you can play a mini-game that allows you to try to defend the fort against an assault by enemy soldiers. To successfully win the game, you will need to properly place different types of units around the battlefield and prevent your enemies from reaching the gates of the fort.

Run up to the top floor of Fort Condor and speak to man who is looking out the window. Tell him you would like to take command of the army and repel an attempted enemy invasion.

Find the spots above the red starting line where you want to place your units, then press the "X" button on your controller.

Cycle between the available units by pressing the right and left arrow buttons on the controller, and decide which type to place at that spot. Place "fighter" and "attacker" units at the very edge of the red line to block the enemy soldiers as they advance up the hill. Then place "repairer" units behind them so you have quick access to healing spells.

Press the "Start" button to begin the battle once you have placed all of your units on the battlefield.

Select one of your units by highlighting it with the cursor and pressing the "X" button. Choose a location for the unit to walk toward to defend a pass or fight an enemy. Send units down toward the bottom of the hill to prevent the enemy units from sneaking past you or going through a side pass that leads directly to the fort. Surround the enemy soldiers and take them down one at a time until you have defeated all of them.

Tips & Warnings
If your characters are at level 40 or higher, you can very quickly win the mini-game by allowing an enemy unit to reach the fort, which will force you to fight the enemy commander directly.
Keep your "repairer" units out of combat, as they will be easily destroyed by even the weakest enemy unit.
