Step 1
Step on your left foot and shuffle on your right (1 and 2).

Step 2
Step down on your right foot in front of your left foot, then step down on your left foot in back of your right foot (and 3). This is the "balance" that was referred to in the introduction.

Step 3
Switch it up and change the first step to a flap. Flap (which is a brush step) your left foot to the front on the count of "a 1" and shuffle on your right foot (and 2).

Step 4
Repeat the balance: Step in front of your left foot with your right and step behind your right foot on your left (and 3).

Step 5
Do it all together: Step shuffle step step (1 and 2 and 3). Then do it with the flap: Flap shuffle step step. (a 1 and 2 and 3). Remember to step down in front of the back foot to do a cross.
