Proforma projectors can make a multimedia presentation come alive with lots of video and other rich media, but can also be helpful for simple presentations to accompany business meetings. These projectors are often too expensive to purchase, but they can be rented at a very reasonable rate.

From Quick Guide: Equipment Rental Guide
Difficulty: Moderately Easy
Instructions
  1. Step 1

Determine what equipment you need. Some people just rent the proforma projector alone, because their venue has any other equipment that is needed. Others rent both the projector and a projection screen together. Some even like to add a complete PA audio system to their order.

  2. Step 2

Consider renting your proforma projector online. The equipment will be delivered either by mail or by a local retailer. MeetingTomorrow.com, Projector123.com and RentOurProjectors.com are all exceptional options. Links to these online rental locations can be found in the Resources section below.

  3. Step 3

Research local vendors to find out who rents Proforma projectors. Rent-A-Center and most office supply stores will rent projectors. Locals.com has a list of all rental locations in your area (see Resources below).

  4. Step 4

Check with your hotel. If you are traveling on business and require a projector to enhance a presentation, your hotel is often a reliable place to acquire one. Larger hotels with conference facilities usually have at least one projector available. Those that do not, or who have a projector other than the proforma, usually have arrangements in place with local rental companies or can tell you where to go.

Tips & Warnings
  • Proforma projectors may not always be available. Be prepared to use another type if necessary.
