When a new email message is composed and sent, the sender will usually only receive notification if the email is not delivered. In these situations, the person will get a message saying that the email address they sent the message to either does not exist or rejected the message. However, email users do not receive confirmation that a person has received and opened their message. With Confirmeo, a free email utility, you can receive notification when one of your sent emails is delivered and read.

Difficulty: Moderate
Instructions
  1. Step 1

Open your email client and compose a new message, addressing it as you normally would.

  2. Step 2

Add ".confirmeo.com" to the end of the intended recipient's email address. For example, if writing a message to joe@gmail.com, the address would become joe@gmail.com.confirmeo.com.

  3. Step 3

Send the message to the edited email address.

  4. Step 4

Look for a confirmation email from Confirmeo, which will be sent once the recipient of the original message opens the email.

  5. Step 5

Open the confirmation email to find out when the recipient read the message.
