Hosting a cookie baking day can be a lot of fun if you can get together with friends and family. This is a great way to prepare a lot of cookies in a short amount of time, as well as split the work among several people.

Things You'll Need:

  • Recipes Cookie ingredients
  1. Step 1

Invite friends and family members who would be interested in baking cookies. You can typically find a lot of people who are willing to bring some ingredients and cook with you, because it is a great opportunity to get together with people you do not see as often.

  2. Step 2

Organize a list of recipes you want to make, as well as the ingredients that are needed to complete those recipes. Most of the time, you can divvy up the ingredients so that everyone brings something, and you as the host are not responsible for having to spend money on everything. Or, people can each bring one recipes, as well as the ingredients for that recipe.

  3. Step 3

Prepare food to eat while you are baking. Plan on your baking event being all day, so provide snacks and real meals to feed your guests while they are helping you prepare the cookies. Even simple things like sandwich meats and buns go over well because guests can eat them anytime, and there is no preparation to making it.

  4. Step 4

Bake cookies. This is the best part about the day--getting together with friends and family, chatting about the latest gossip while making cookies. You can divide the activities such as baking, stirring, decorating and dish washing so that people can do things that are easier for them, or you can periodically switch up the duties.

  5. Step 5

Divide the cookies into containers for taking home. Encourage guests to bring their own containers.
