Things You'll Need:
- Plunge router bit
-
Step 1
Put in the right diameter router bits. A plunge router can only use a bit made for plunge cuts when plunge routing, not decorative.
-
Step 2
Adjust the depth in which you are going to make your plunge on your Ryobi plunge router.
-
Step 3
Position your Ryobi plunge router flat on the surface of your workpiece above the location you'll be making your cut. Plunge routers can start cutting in the middle of the wood.
-
Step 4
Start your plunge router and make your cut. Remember to always move your router from left to right due to the rotation of the blade.
-
Step 5
Be sure to turn your plunge router off and make sure the blade completely stops spinning before removing it from the workpiece.
