This easy to make Marshmallow Chocolate Fudge was my favorite growing up as a child. My mom made it every holiday and it's never a New England Thanksgiving or Christmas without it! It's called 'Velvet' for a reason ~ so smooth and creamy it melts right in your mouth! Make and extra batch for gift-giving!

Difficulty: Moderately Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • 1 cup evaporated milk
  • 2 cups sugar
  • 2 (6-oz) packages semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 1/2 cups miniature marshmallows
  • Nuts, optional
  1. Step 1

Combine the Evaporated Milk and sugar in saucepan. Place pan over low heat; stir until sugar is dissolved and mixture comes to a boil.

  2. Step 2

Increase the heat and boil the mixture 2 minutes more while stirring constantly. Do not overcook. Remove mixture from heat.

  3. Step 3

Add chocolate chips and vanilla to the mixture; stirring constantly until smooth and creamy.

  4. Step 4

Turn about half the chocolate mixture into wax paper or parchement lined 8-inch square pan.

  5. Step 5

Cover the mixture with mini marshmallows, pressing them gently into the chocolate. Top the marshmallows using the remaining chocolate mixture.

  6. Step 6

Chill mixture until firm. Cut into squares.

Tips & Warnings
  • Use colored mini marshmallows if desired.
  • Add nuts to mixture if desired.
  • Use 8-inch square baking pan or fudge pan
  • Use Evaporated Milk only. Do not use Sweetened Condensed Milk.
