Flavored butters are a great way to add elegance to almost any meal and they are easy to make. If you want to impress your dinner guests add some flavored butter to the menu. The French are famous for making flavored butters for just about any occasion. Curry butter is one of my favorite flavored butters and is wonderful served on top of chicken, beef, fish, and vegetables.

Difficulty: Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • 1/2 cup butter
  • 1 tsp - 1 T curry powder
  • 1/8 teaspoon Paprika
  • 1 dash freshly ground pepper
  1. Step 1

In a food processor or with a hand blender add the butter and pulse until the butter is nice and creamy.

  2. Step 2

Add the paprika, curry (1 tsp - 1T depending on taste) and fresh ground pepper to the butter and pulse about 30 seconds or until the ingredients are well mixed.

  3. Step 3

Remove the curry butter mixture and roll the softened butter into a log shape and roll in wax paper. Place the curry butter in the refrigerator until it has firmed up.

  4. Step 4

Serve the delicious curry butter on top of chicken, fish, beef, or steamed vegetables.

Tips & Warnings
  • For elegant looking butter, place softened butter into a pastry bag with large openings. Squeeze butter onto wax paper and place in refrigerator to cool.
