Step 1
The "Christmas baby" as they are called, has to share their birthday with the one of the most important Christian holidays of the year. Everyone gets gifts and has a reason to celebrate on their special day. My first piece of advice to those of you that know someone who has a Christmas birthday is to please make a big deal. Call that "Christmas baby" first thing in the morning and sing Happy Birthday!
-
Step 2
"This present is for your birthday and Christmas." Those are the words heard over and over again for the Christmas baby. Everyone else gets a birthday gift and a Christmas gift during the year. Get the "Christmas baby" both a birthday gift and a Christmas gift. Wrap the birthday gift in birthday theme wrapping paper and give them a birthday card.
-
Step 3
We all know that there are deserts piled high at the traditional Christmas dinner table, but have a birthday cake too. It's important to have a birthday cake on your birthday. The cake can read "Happy Birthday Jesus and -insert name here-."
-
Step 4
If you are the proud parent of a child who's birthday is on Christmas, consider celebrating half birthday. Throw them a half birthday party in June. Santa should also get them a birthday gift. You can always count on Santa to remember these things. The birthday gift from Santa should also be wrapped in birthday theme wrapping paper.

on 11/27/2009 My boyfriend's a Christmas baby, and even though he's going to be 30, this came in handy...totally wouldn't have thought about wrapping his birthday present in birthday-themed wrapping paper! Also, another good idea is to get Happy Birthday balloons. They're festive, and will just add to the celebration.

on 8/21/2009 Good ideas. I don't know any Christmas babies, but I have a friend who was born a few minutes after Midnight on New Years Day. We had a party on New Years, at Midnight we all screamed, drank some Champing, did some fireworks, etc, then sang Happy Birthday. My Dad's B-Day is April Second, One day after my favorite holliday (April Fools day).

on 1/11/2009 Great article! I don't have a Christmas b-day but mine's in January. I had 3-4 sweaters every year as a kid and was jealous of the June & July babies :)
