1. An easy solution for door squeaking: No WD-40, or other, on hand? Try using a non-stick cooking spray to grease those squeaky hinges !

2. Household solution for ring around the collar: Use shampoo applied to ring to effectively remove it. Shampoo is made to remove oil residue from hair so it makes sense that it will work for the residue that is left on your shirt collars !

3. An easy solution for threading a needle: No longer will you need intense focus and several tries to get that thread through the sewing needle. Simply apply hairspray to the thread, let it dry, and it will stiffen enough to pass through the eye, easily !

4. Household solution for counter top stains: Saturate paper towels with rubbing alcohol. Lay the paper towels over the stain and let it sit for a few minutes. The alcohol will act as a solvent and break down the stain in the counter top material.

5. An easy household solution for over watered plants: When your plants start to droop from being over watered, an easy solution is to add 2 tablespoons of pure maple syrup to the base of the pot. The natural sugars in the syrup are soaked into the soil and then absorbed into the plant roots to bring it back to life !
