Things You'll Need:
- A mini (or large) trampoline
- Dedication
- A few minutes of your time
-
Step 1
Rebounders (or mini trampolines) are available online and also many stores carry them now. You won't have any trouble finding an inexpensive one right away. Often times you'll even find them at garage sales, outdoor markets, or even the Goodwill.
-
Step 2
Once you have your rebounder, start jumping on it 2-5 minutes at a time.
-
Step 3
You can enjoy rebounding while watching TV, relaxing your mind, or outside getting fresh air and sunshine!
-
Step 4
Rebounding videos and DVDs are also available. They are pretty inexpensive. You can find them new and used on Amazon, and they'll give you a lot of ideas for different moves.
-
Step 5
A few of the benefits of rebounding are: # promotes a healthy bowel by enhancing digestion and the elimination process
# decreases circulating cholesterol and triglyceride levels
# gets oxygen to the tissues
# helps repair tissue
# has been known to improve eyesight
# cleanses the lymphatic system
# increases lung capacity
# results in lost inches
# strengthens the immune system
# promotes weight loss -
Step 6
Rebounding is easy on the joints so if you have joint problems, you'll find it easier to rebound, for instance, than walking on a treadmill.
-
Step 7
With benefits like these, it's easy to feel motivated and inspired to start rebounding. You may have so much fun, you'll want to continue rebounding long after you've lost those extra pounds!

P.S. I'm having trouble keeping up with new comments on my articles, are you? It seems like I'm not getting notified as soon as someone comments like I was before. Anyway, I'm on my way over to see if you've published anything new!

on 11/16/2008 Thanks Inkling! I'm sure it would be good to do that, just to be moving your body, but the thing is... the way you'd be jumping up and down on the rebounder is gentler on your joints and very effective. :-)

on 11/16/2008 Thanks for the rebounding info. I wonder if gently bouncing up and down using the balls of our feet would work too?
