Things You'll Need:
- Boyfriend cut jeans
-
Step 1
Don't wear your boyfriend's or husband's actual jeans. Men's jeans were not made to fit a woman's body no matter what style they are. You can find plenty of boyfriend jeans available in clothing stores in the women's and junior's department.
-
Step 2
Look for a pair of boyfriend jeans that have a straight leg. A pair of jeans with a boot cut or flare leg will look rather odd with this style.
-
Step 3
Cuff your jeans at the bottom if they are too long. You do not want them to look sloppy and actually turning them up at the bottom so that they are at your ankles is part of the fashion trend.
-
Step 4
Pair your boyfriend jeans with a basic tee or top. You do not want anything too busy on the top as it may just look sloppy and ill-fitting. A nice fitted t-shirt or button-up shirt will look good with the boyfriend jeans. The fitted shirts will also help you to still show off your feminine curves and figure so that you don't appear to be a man.
-
Step 5
Find boyfriend jeans that are inexpensive and don't splurge on a pair of them. You never know how long they will be in style and you don't want to waste your money on a pair of jeans that you only wear for a couple of months.

on 8/20/2009 I just bought a pair of boyfriend jeans at the Gap and they're great! Plus they are having their $20 off every jean sale right now, so I was psyched to get them for only $39. I plan to wear them with a fitted striped t, and then maybe another time I'll pair them with a ribbed tank and a fun scarf. Because I'm short I think I need to wear some sort of heel with them or I'd look dumpy. I think I'm going to like this trend, but we'll see.
