Things You'll Need:
- pillows & blankets
- dvd player
- nerves of steel
- munchies
- moral support
- plenty of movies
-
Step 1
SCREAMMOVIES FOR KIDS & CHICKENS:......: I would choose the more popular, mainstream, "bubble-gum" horror movies. The playlist would include these very cool but not-so-terrifying movies: SCREAM 1,2,3...FINAL DESTINATION 1,2,3...I KNOW WHAT YOU DID LAST SUMMER (all of them), and THE GRUDGE. This would provide hours of semi-horror fun for all!
-
Step 2
FRANKENSTEINMOVIES FOR MONSTER LOVERS:......: There are many movies to choose from in this category and by far, far, far, the most entertaining are zombie movies! Anything that has "of the dead" in the title is a winner. George Romero is the king of the zombies, you just can't go wrong! Of course, I am a true romantic and will watch any Vampire movie you throw at me! I don't have to mention how utterly THRILLED I am that TWILIGHT is coming out in a few days!!! As always, this category contains classic monsters too: Frankenstein, Dracula, Creature from the Black Lagoon, Werewolves...don't forget the Underworld movies, they're great and a new one is coming to theaters soon "Rise of the Lycans!".
-
Step 3
THE EXORCISTMOVIES FOR THE SUPERNATURAL:......: This is a great category but some people hate it. Some people find ghost stories boring but I think they are fun....they go both ways depending on how they're done. Exorcism movies are always great for me. Anybody's head spinning? If you're bent over backwards and walking downstairs on your fingers and toes, you're my kind of movie! The Omen, The Exorcist, Hauntings...they are eerie, scary and creepy...because they could be TRUE! Muahahahahaha!!!
-
Step 4
THE LOST BOYSA NICE MIX:......: I would make the following suggestion based on my extensive knowledge of horror movies. I have seen so many I could major in horror films!........1.) The Exorcist 2.) The Shining 3.)Dawn of the Dead (2004) 4.) Pet Cemetary and 5.) The Lost Boys. This will give you a diverse night of horror delight!
-
Step 5
SET THE MOODSETTING THE SCENE:......: To create an intimate and scary atmosphere you will need to do some rearranging of furniture. Pull the couch or chairs up to the television so it creates a "movie theater" atmosphere. Make sure ALL the lights in the house are OFF and you have some flickering candles in the background. Turn off the phone so it won't ruin the mood and hopefully nobody will come knocking...how scary would that be?!
