Visit the Small Business Administration website at sba.gov and click on the area called 'Free Online Training.' You'll see sections on Starting a Business, Business Planning, Business Management, Finance & Accounting, Marketing & Advertising, etc.

Under the section called 'Business Planning' you will find two online courses that have to do with business plans: 'How to Prepare a Business Plan' and 'Developing a Successful Business Plan'. 'How to Prepare a Business Plan' is among the SBA's five most popular courses.

By clicking on each one of the courses you will be taken to a screen that will walk you through a short registration process, with just a few questions to answer.

After registering, you will be allowed to take the business plan course that you registered for. Each course should take no longer than thirty minutes to complete.
