This article shows step by step instructions to Transfer your Phonebook contacts and addresses from Sony Ericsson W810i phone to your computer.

Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • Sony Ericsson W810i phone
  • Sony Ericsson Data Cable supplied with the phone.
  • Sony Ericsson PC Suite software installed on computer.
  1. Step 1

    ABOUT THE PROCEDURE -

    The procedure is simple and easy and does not necessarily require use of Sony Ericsson PC Suite application. However, PC Suite has to be installed in the computer in order to install the phone's drivers.

  2. Step 2

    BACKUP PHONE CONTACTS TO MEMORY CARD -

    Got to Menu >> Address Book >> Options >> Advanced >> Back to M.S. and click Yes. Here the phone contacts will be backed up on the Memory Stick.

  3. Step 3

    CONNECT PHONE TO COMPUTER -

    Connect the W810i phone to your computer using the supplied Data Cable. Make sure you have installed the Sony Ericsson PC Suite. You can even get this software from Sony Ericsson website.
    Click on the File Transfer Mode in your phone.

  4. Step 4

    COPY PHONEBOOK FILE TO COMPUTER -

    Go to "My Computer" on the computer and you will see that two new drives will appear. In my case, I can see "Phone (D:)" and "Phone Card (F:)". Navigate to F:\MSSEMC\System\PIM\PB_Backup.vcf
    Copy this file to some location on your Computer.

    That's it! Congratulations! You have backed up all your contacts to your computer from W810i phone.

Tips & Warnings
  • Download the PC Suite software from Sony Ericsson website.
  • Always backup your contacts at least every 6 months.
