Things You'll Need:
-
Step 1
Attach bell to gold threadCut a piece of gold thread about 1 foot long. Thread the small jingle bell onto the gold thread and tie a little knot to make a circle. Trim ends off near the knot.
-
Step 2
Paint terra cotta potWith a small brush, paint the terra cotta pot using brown craft paint. Be sure to paint the inside and top of the terra cotta pot, as well as the outside. Set aside and let the paint dry completely.
-
Step 3
Attach eyesUsing the heated glue gun, carefully attach the two eyes, one at a time, to the front of the terra cotta pot.
-
Step 4
Jingle bellPush the gold thread, with the jingle bell on it, through the bottom of the hole in the terra cotta pot.
-
Step 5
Form hangerPull the gold thread almost all the way through. Leave enough of the gold thread so that the jingle bell hangs level with the bottom of the terra cotta pot. This gold thread that comes out of the top of the hole will be the hanger so that you can hang the terra cotta reindeer Christmas bell ornament on your tree.
-
Step 6
Shape pipe cleanerTake a brown pipe cleaner and shape the antlers like the picture illustrates.
-
Step 7
Twist ends togetherTwist the ends of the pipe cleaner together in the middle to form the antlers for the terra cotta reindeer Christmas bell ornament.
-
Step 8
Glue antlersWith the glue gun, carefully glue the little green bow and the little white flower to the antlers.
-
Step 9
Attach antlersApply glue, with the glue gun, to the twisted ends of the antlers and push these ends into the hole on top of the terra cotta reindeer bell Christmas ornament. Make sure that the antlers with the little white flower lines up in front, centered between the two eyes. Make sure that the gold thread comes out in back of the antlers. Hold firmly until glue cools a bit.
-
Step 10
Glue on noseThen with the glue gun, attach the red pom pom forming the nose. You have just created the female terra cotta reindeer Christmas bell ornament.
-
Step 11
Black top hatFor the male reindeer you will follow steps 1 through 7. When you get ready to glue the antlers on the male terra cotta reindeer, apply glue and stick the twisted end of the antlers into the hole on top of the terra cotta pot. Hold firmly until glue cools a bit. With the glue gun, attach the red pom pom forming the nose.
-
Step 12
Apply glue to hatCarefully apply glue to the little black top hat and attach to the top of the terra cotta reindeer Christmas bell ornament in front of the antlers. Hold firmly until glue cools.
-
Step 13
